Believing in the importance of customer data confidentiality and the customer’s right to preserve and protect personal information, Gathro Platform works to provide the highest levels of protection and security for our customers’ information and data by applying technical and non-technical measures that fulfill the right to confidentiality and privacy. To that end, the following Privacy Policy has been prepared. It contains important information about how the platform uses personal data, how data is stored, and the legal rights of the data subject.
Definitions:
- •Gathro Platform: an electronic platform owned by the Bahraini company Codemedia, commercial registration number (184787-1), operating online and providing entertainment and tourism-related services.
- •Service Provider: a natural or legal person who offers residential or entertainment services through the platform.
- •Consumer: a natural or legal person who purchases services or products from service providers through the platform.
- •User: any natural or legal person—service provider, consumer, or otherwise—who uses the platform.
- •Account: an electronic page on the platform through which a service provider displays services and products to consumers.
- •Personal Information: any data—regardless of source or form—that identifies a person specifically or makes identification possible directly or indirectly, including: name, personal ID number, national unified number, commercial registration number, freelance work permit number, addresses, contact numbers, license and registry numbers, personal property identifiers, bank account and credit card numbers, still or moving images of an individual, and other data of a personal nature.
- •Account Login Information: username, password, email, and password-recovery question and answer.
- •Cookies: small text files created by the browser and stored on the user’s device when visiting a website, used to save certain interaction information so it can be retrieved on later visits.
Binding Effect:
- •Use of the platform constitutes acceptance of these policies and of the platform’s rights stated herein and based on personal data protection rules. The user may not later reject these policies or claim lack of knowledge.
- •These policies apply to both service providers and consumers, as appropriate to each party’s use of the platform.
Scope and Application:
- •These policies apply to the platform only and do not extend to service providers (individuals or entities) who offer services through the platform. The platform acts as an intermediary connecting service providers and consumers.
- •Without prejudice to the above, the platform may share data with service providers or third parties as needed to complete service delivery, provided it shares only the minimum data required for that purpose.
Data Covered by this Policy:
- •By using the platform, the user agrees to share the data needed for the platform to provide the requested services, including:
Name – contact details – address – date of birth – username – gender – payment information.
Any other data stated in any of the platform’s terms of use.
- •The user agrees to share data related to consumer or commercial behavior, including services of interest, location and category preferences, and ratings.
- •The user agrees to share data related to communication through the platform, through communication services provided by the platform, or through other communication channels.
- •The user agrees that the platform may, through technical means, access shared information between the platform and the user’s device that helps deliver the service, including real-time geolocation, device operating system, device type, number of visits to the platform, and similar shared information.
- •The user agrees that the platform may access financial information arising from use of payment gateways provided through the platform and from the platform’s right to its commission on completed revenues.
- •The user agrees that the platform may review products and services displayed by the user on the platform, and may review economic and volume performance of users on the platform, for support, advice, and verification of compliance with activity policies and applicable laws, without prejudice to the platform’s role as an intermediary.
Purpose of Collection and Retention:
- •The platform collects information and data to pursue its legitimate interests, including economic purposes such as marketing, advertising, market research, statistics, understanding user preferences, and offering discounts and promotions.
- •User information is retained within the geographic boundaries of the country where the economic activity is practiced, using appropriate technical means, for as long as the user uses the platform and for the period required by law, which begins on the day after the user requests destruction of their personal data.
Data Sharing:
- •Personal information may be shared with competent legal authorities upon request, or where the platform observes activity that violates applicable laws, in order to ensure compliance in the countries where the platform operates.
- •The platform may share necessary data with third-party service providers (such as logistics or financial entities), sharing only the minimum information required for them to complete their service.
Confidentiality and Privacy Protection:
- •Gathro Platform is committed to protecting customer confidentiality and privacy and restricts staff access to data to what is needed for the relevant purpose.
- •The platform uses appropriate digital technologies and up-to-date electronic protections to help prevent leakage of users’ personal information online.
- •The platform is obliged under applicable laws to notify the competent authorities in the event of a breach or data leak.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
The platform complies with personal data protection laws and provides technical means that enable users to exercise their legal rights, including:
- •Enabling the user to access personal data registered with the platform in an intelligible form, obtain a copy, and request correction or destruction.
- •Not changing the purpose for which personal data was collected and retained without notifying the user.
- •Identifying which personal data fields are mandatory and which are optional when completing the user account profile.

- •Gathro Platform is not a party to dealings between users (service providers and consumers). Its role is limited to providing electronic services that enable communication between them in accordance with applicable laws.
- •All dealings between service providers and consumers are independent legal relationships. In case of a dispute, competence lies with the relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce and the courts.
- •Exercising Rights:
The user may exercise the rights set out in these policies or in applicable laws through the technical means provided on the platform. If that is not possible, the user may contact the platform by email.
- •Amendments:
The platform may amend these policies for its legitimate purposes or to comply with legal requirements and will notify users by email or through announcements on the platform.
