Privacy Policy

Definitions:

1. Gathro Platform: An electronic platform owned by Codemedia Bahrain, commercial registration number (1-184787), operating through the internet, providing entertainment and tourism services.
2. Service Provider: A natural or legal person offering their accommodation or entertainment services through the platform.
3. Consumer: A natural or legal person who purchases services and products from service providers through the platform.
4. User: Any natural or legal person, service provider, consumer, or otherwise who uses the platform.
5. Account: An electronic page within the platform through which the service provider displays their services and products to the consumer.
6. Personal Information: Personal information in the platform means: any data - regardless of its source or form - that can lead to identifying a person specifically, or makes identification possible directly or indirectly, including: name, national ID number, unified national number, commercial registration number, freelance work document number, addresses, contact numbers, license numbers, records and personal property, bank account numbers and credit cards, still or moving images of the individual, and other personal data.
7. Account Login Information: Username, password, email, and password recovery question and answer.
8. Cookies: Small text files created by the browser and stored on the user's device when visiting a website, the purpose of which is to store some information related to interaction with the site, so that it can be retrieved when visiting the site again.

Validity:

1. Using the platform constitutes acceptance of these policies and the platform's rights contained therein, based on the personal data protection system, and the user may not reject these policies thereafter or claim lack of knowledge or awareness.
2. These policies apply to both service providers and consumers, as appropriate to each party's use of the platform.

Scope and Application:

1. These policies apply to the platform only and do not extend to service providers, whether individuals or establishments, who provide their services through the platform, as the platform is an intermediary connecting service providers and consumers.
2. Without prejudice to the above, the platform has the right to share data with service providers or third parties for the purpose of completing the service delivery process, provided that the platform provides the minimum data that enables the service provider or third party to provide the service requested by the consumer.

Data Subject to the Policy:

1. When the user uses the platform, they agree to share data that enables the platform to provide the requested services, including the following:
   • Name - contact and communication details - address - date of birth - username - gender - payment information.
   • Any other data mentioned in any of the platform's terms of use.
2. The user agrees to share data related to their consumption or commercial behavior, including: services of interest, location preferences, quality, and ratings.
3. The user agrees to share data related to communication through the platform or through communication services provided by the platform or through other means of communication.
4. The user agrees to allow the platform access through technical means to shared information between the platform and the device used by the consumer to access information or data that helps in providing the service, including real-time geographic location, device operating system, device type, number of visits to the platform, and other shared information.
5. The user agrees to allow the platform to access financial information regarding service providers' use of payment gateways provided by the platform and in accordance with the platform's right to obtain its commission from total revenues through the platform.
6. The user agrees to the platform's right to view products and services displayed by them through the platform, and also agrees to the platform's right to view the economic and statistical performance of the user or users through the platform in order to provide support and advice and verify that no violations of the general policies of the activity and the regulations and laws to which the platform complies, without prejudice to the limits of the platform's role as an intermediary for providing services through it.

Purpose of Collection and Storage of Data:

1. The platform collects information and data to achieve its legitimate interests, including the platform's economic purposes, such as: marketing purposes, advertising purposes, market research purposes, and statistical purposes, understanding user consumption preferences and providing discounts and offers to the user accordingly.
2. The platform stores user information within the geographical boundaries of the country where economic activity is practiced and through appropriate technical methods, and the right to store data continues throughout the period of the user's use of the platform, which begins to be calculated from the day after the user requests the destruction of their personal data and for the period specified by law.

Data Sharing:

1. Sharing users' personal information with regulatory and legal authorities when those authorities request user information and when the platform notices activities that violate regulations and laws, and exercises this right to achieve compliance with regulations and laws in the countries where the platform practices its activities.
2. The right to share necessary data with third-party service providers (such as logistics and financial establishments), provided that the platform shares the minimum information that enables the third party to complete the service provided by them.

Confidentiality and Privacy Protection:

1. Gathro platform is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of customers and commits to achieving this by restricting access authorization by its employees within the limits of the purpose of access.
2. Using necessary digital technologies and the latest electronic protection technologies that achieve the platform's pursuit to protect users' personal information from leakage in cyberspace.
3. The platform is committed, in accordance with regulations and laws, to notify the relevant authorities in case of data breaches or leaks.

Regulatory and Legal Compliance:

The platform complies with regulations and laws related to personal data protection, and to that end, the platform works to provide technical services that enable the user to exercise their legal and regulatory rights and the platform's compliance with regulatory and legal texts, as follows:

1. The platform enables the user to exercise their right to access their personal data registered with the platform and view it in a way that can be understood, obtain a copy of it, and request its correction or destruction.
2. The platform commits to the user not to modify the purpose for which personal data was collected and stored except after notifying them of that.
3. Specifying data that must be provided by the personal data owner and data that is provided optionally when filling in the personal data field for the user's account.

Cookies:

The platform uses cookies to store some information related to interaction with the site, so that it can be retrieved when visiting the site again.

Disclaimer:

1. The platform does not bear the consequences of hacking operations that result in information leakage after taking the necessary care to confront the breach.
2. The platform advises its customers to maintain their personal data and not disclose important information such as the national ID number and the mobile number used in official government platforms.
3. The service provided to the data owner may be affected if they provide incorrect data or fail to update their data when necessary.
4. Gathro platform has no relationship with transactions that occur between users (service providers, consumers) as the platform's role is limited to providing electronic services through the information network to achieve communication between service providers and users in accordance with relevant regulations and laws.
5. All transactions that occur between service providers and consumers are independent legal relationships from Gathro platform, and in case of a dispute, God forbid, the jurisdiction to consider it belongs to the relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce and the courts.

Exercising Rights:

The user may exercise their rights stipulated in these policies or the rights stipulated in relevant regulations and laws through the platform and through the pre-prepared technical means, and if that is not possible, they can contact via email.

Modifications:

The platform may modify the policies according to its legitimate purposes or in compliance with regulatory or legal texts, and the platform will notify users through email or through advertising notifications on the platform.
